The foundation for custom work
Before you forecast it, make sure you can trust it.
Bring your revenue definitions, customer lifecycle rules, and KPI calculations into one documented foundation. We check where the numbers agree, explain where they don't, and give your team clear logic to build on.
For custom work, Greenlight is where we start.
Know where you stand
- Trusted
- Ready to use for its agreed purpose.
- Review
- Usable, with a known limitation to consider.
- Blocked
- Not ready to use yet; the issue and next step are identified.
What Greenlight answers
Get clear answers to the questions behind your numbers.
We start with the questions your team needs to answer. The goal is a shared understanding you can return to as the business changes.
- Which revenue figures should your team use—and for which decisions?
- What counts as a new, active, or churned customer?
- Where does each KPI come from, and how is it calculated?
- Why do your systems report different totals?
- Are records being combined at the right level, without double-counting?
- Do you have the inputs and history for the forecast you need?
The status system
Know which numbers are ready to use.
Each key metric has a clear label—Trusted, Review, or Blocked—along with the checks, limitations, and any next steps behind it.
If a number isn't ready, we explain what is missing or inconsistent and what needs to happen next.
Those notes stay with the definitions, so your team knows how to use the figures and when to check them again.
Forecast readiness
Understand your next step toward a forecast.
For the forecast in scope, Greenlight reports READY, CAUTION, or NOT READY, with the reasons and recommended next steps.
We review the agreed definitions, reconciliation checks, input availability, and relevant history for the model you need.
Sometimes the next step is to align an input or collect more history. Sometimes the Revenue Forecast Template is enough. Where a custom model is appropriate, the findings help define it.
If the evidence cannot support a conclusion, we say so.
